Understanding the /analyze Tool
The /analyze tool is a powerful feature within Sandcastles designed to help video creators by providing in-depth analysis of video content. This tool can be accessed through the Claude desktop app or directly within the Sandcastles web app.
Accessing and Using the /analyze Tool in Claude
- Navigate to Cowork: Open your Claude desktop app and select the "Cowork" tab.
- Create a New Task: Click on "+ New task" to initiate a new prompt.
- Invoke the /analyze Skill: Type
/analyze followed by a space.
- Paste the Video URL: Paste the URL of the video you wish to analyze (supports YouTube Shorts, Instagram, and TikTok).
- Add Specific Prompts (Optional): You can further refine your request by asking for specific details. For example, you could ask for:
- "Give me the full details, including transcript, format analysis, hook breakdown, etc."
- "Analyze the video for its narrative structure and key takeaways."
- Run the Analysis: Press Enter or click the send button to initiate the analysis. Claude will process the video and provide a detailed breakdown.
Using the /analyze functionality in the Sandcastles Web App
- Navigate to Videos: In the Sandcastles web app, go to the "Videos" section.
- Add Video URL: Click on the "Add Video URL" button.
- Paste the Video URL: A pop-up will appear. Paste the URL of the video you want to analyze into the provided field. The tool currently supports YouTube Shorts, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Save Video: Click "Save video" to begin the analysis.
Understanding the Analysis Output
Once the analysis is complete, you will receive a comprehensive report that typically includes:
- Performance Metrics: Views, likes, comments, outlier score, engagement rate, and posting date.
- Transcript: A full transcription of the video's audio.
- Hook Breakdown: Analysis of the video's hook, including its category, formula, and effectiveness.
