Understanding the Hooks Tab
The Hooks tab in Sandcastles is your central hub for managing and discovering viral video hooks. It's designed to help you find and utilize compelling hooks that resonate with audiences.
Key Features and Sections
The Hooks tab is organized into three main sections:
- Your Favorite Hooks: This section displays hooks that you have specifically marked as favorites. These are hooks you find particularly effective or inspiring.
- Hooks from Your Analyzed Videos: When you analyze videos within Sandcastles, the system automatically extracts potential hooks from them and lists them here. This provides a direct source of inspiration based on content that has already performed well.
- Sandcastles Default Hooks: This section contains a curated list of proven, high-performing hooks that Sandcastles uses by default. These are often across different niches and can serve as excellent starting points.
Navigating and Utilizing Hooks
Each hook listed in the tab provides several key pieces of information:
- The Hook Itself: The text of the hook, often with bracketed placeholders for customization.
- Inspired By: The creator or source of the hook, giving credit and context.
- Category/Format: A tag indicating the type of hook (e.g., List, Secret Reveal Breakdown, Authority, Tutorial, Case Study, Scenario-Hypothetical, Comparison, Ranking Rating, Problem, Question, Personal Experience, Trap Mistake).
- Outlier Score: A metric indicating how well the hook performed relative to others.
- Views: The number of views associated with the video containing the hook.
Managing Your Hooks
- Favoriting Hooks: You can mark hooks as favorites by clicking the heart icon next to them. This adds them to the "Your Favorite Hooks" section for easy access.
- Copying Hooks: Each hook has a "Copy hook" option, allowing you to quickly copy the text to your clipboard for use in your own content creation.
- Showing Original Format: By default, hooks may show variables in brackets. You can toggle the "Showing original" switch to see the hook in its raw, original format if preferred.
